This Privacy Policy explains how Value A to Z ("we," "us," "our"), which operates Value A to Z (valuea2z.com), collects, uses, and shares information about you. By accessing the website or subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to this policy.
When this policy applies
This policy applies when you visit our website, subscribe to or read our email newsletter, contact us, engage with us on social media, or otherwise interact with our services.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you subscribe to the newsletter we collect your email address. When you contact us or submit a privacy request we collect the information you include, such as your name, email address, and state of residence.
Information collected automatically. When you use the website or submit our forms, our servers automatically record technical information including your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the date and time of your visit, and the pages you request. Subscription, unsubscribe, and privacy opt-out requests are logged with the date and time and a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address for compliance and audit purposes.
Information from third parties. If you reach us through a partner's link, or click a partner link on our site, that partner may tell us in aggregate that a visit or purchase happened, so that we can be paid a commission.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to: deliver the newsletter and operate the website; understand which articles readers find useful; respond to your requests and provide support; maintain the security of our services and prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations and honor privacy requests; and produce aggregated, de-identified statistics.
Advertising and partner links
Some articles contain affiliate or partner links, and some content is sponsored; both are labelled. If you click a partner link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Partner sites may use cookies and similar technologies on their own sites under their own privacy policies. We do not currently run third-party advertising networks or analytics cookies on this website. If we add them, we will update this policy before they go live.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us operate, including our email service provider, which processes subscriber email addresses to deliver the newsletter, and our hosting provider. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights and users, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. If any sharing ever qualifies as a "sale" or "sharing" under state privacy laws, you can opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

We use essential cookies only: a session cookie that keeps our forms secure. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings; blocking essential cookies may stop our forms from working.
Your choices and rights
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in every email or our unsubscribe page. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@valueatoz.com. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
Categories of personal information (12-month lookback)
In the preceding 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as those categories are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Identifiers: email address; IP address; name if you provide it (collected from you directly and automatically; used for newsletter delivery, security, and compliance; shared with our email service provider).
- Customer records information: name and state of residence when you submit a privacy request (collected from you; used to process the request; not shared for advertising).
- Internet or other electronic network activity: pages requested, browser and device type, date and time of visits (collected automatically by our servers; used for security and to operate the site; not shared with advertising partners).
- Approximate geolocation: the general location inferable from your IP address (collected automatically; used for security).
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA (such as government identifiers, precise geolocation, financial account details, health data, or biometric data), and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 16. We do not use or disclose personal information for purposes beyond those described in this policy.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and the categories of third parties we share it with; delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions; correct inaccurate personal information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; limit the use of sensitive personal information (which we do not collect); and non-discrimination: we will never deny you service, charge different prices, or degrade quality because you exercised your privacy rights.
Submitting privacy requests
Submit opt-out requests on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, and access, deletion, or correction requests by emailing privacy@valueatoz.com. To protect your information, we verify requests by matching the email address you submit against our records; for access and deletion requests we may ask you to confirm the request from that email address. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf if the agent provides your signed permission and we can verify your identity. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days with notice when reasonably necessary. Where your browser sends an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale and sharing for that browser to the extent required by applicable law.
No financial incentives
We do not offer financial incentives, price differences, or service differences in exchange for the collection, sale, or retention of personal information. The newsletter is free for everyone.
Nevada and other state residents
Residents of Nevada, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with privacy laws may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain processing of personal information. Use the same request channels above; we honor applicable state rights regardless of where you live.
Data retention
We retain subscriber information while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for compliance purposes. Compliance logs (subscription, unsubscribe, and opt-out records) are retained as required to demonstrate compliance with applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
Third-party links
Our articles cite and link to third-party sources and partner websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites; review their policies when you visit them.
Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
